ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
This episode is dedicated to the Die Leiden des jungen Werther, written by Goethe in 1774.
It tells of Werther’s disappointed love for Charlotte, engaged to Albert.
More than 100 years later, Jules Massenet adapted the work into an opera.
For the dramatic version we find in particular Robert Etcheverry, Annie Siniglia, Michèle Persane, and Julien Bertheau.
Singers Michel Cadiou and Andrée Gabriel perform the lyrical version.
Guy Leonard and Giselle Adloff dance the choreographic version
