ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
In São Paulo in 1917, in the middle of the First World War, Raul, his mother Maria Luísa and his aunt Tidinha, live the doldrums of mourning for their father, who died a few months ago. The family, shipwrecked in grief and sadness, still lives under the vibrations of the dead man, who was not given to joy, padded in the mediocre, methodical and conservative. With the arrival of Christmas, young Raul interrupts the family mourning and announces that he wants to eat turkey for supper. The idea cheers up mother Maria Luísa, and scandalizes aunt Tidinha, for whom there is no reason to celebrate. Taken by great affection for his “two mothers”, the young man puts his foot down and is in charge of all the preparations. At the time of the banquet, the figures of the two deceased appear – the father and the turkey – who fight for the moral of the story.
