  Opera-Animation inspired by the short story The Raven, by Edgar Allan Poe, translated by Machado de Assis and in the Eneida, by Virgílio.
  In a mysterious atmosphere, a young man is faced with the death of his beloved when he receives a visit from a strange crow. Perhaps awake, perhaps in delirium, the young man begins a dialogue with the crow, who absurdly answers him. As in Poe’s poem, the plot begins with the young man devoted to reading the ancient classics. Amidst his confusion and his conversation with the crow, fragments of these classic texts come to his mind. These are excerpts from the story of Aeneas and Dido. In this story, Aeneas involves and abandons Dido, driving her to madness and suicide. This passage from the Aeneid, recurrently returns to the thoughts of the main opera character, when he is confronted with the raven, raising paradoxical emotions in relation to the mourning that the young man experiences.
