And it is precisely the latter who inspired Robert Carsen’s interpretation that opened the 2011-2012 season with the inventive stage sets of Michael Levine replicating the auditorium. It now returns with Pablo Heras-Casado wielding the baton and a new cast featuring Christopher Maltman.
