ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution, the Symphony Orchestra and Choir of the Municipality of Athens are collaborating with two international personalities of the lyrical theater, the soprano Myrto Papathanasiou and the baritone Tassi Christogiannopoulos in a program specially designed for the occasion.
Compositions by Gioachino Rossini, Giuseppe Verdi, Ludwig van Beethoven, Hector Berlioz, Maurice Ravel and Antonín Dvořák coexist with those of Pavlos Carrer, Dionysios Lavragas and Manolis Kalomiris, drawing their themes from the history and culture of Greece.
With the Symphony Orchestra and the Choir of the Municipality of Athens, the great actress Filareti Komninou also collaborates as narrator.
