Soprano Fatma Said joins the Berlin Konzerthaus Orchestra, conducted by Alondra de la Parra, for a dialogue between East and West.
Fatma Said, a young Egyptian opera singer, explores the musical heritage of her native land during an exotic concert. She is accompanied by Mexican conductor Alondra de la Parra, who conducts the Berlin Konzerthaus Orchestra, and solo musicians, including a ney player, a traditional Persian flute. On the program, some famous pieces by his compatriots Farid El Atrache and Mohammed Abdel Wahab, but also orientalist pieces by Georges Bizet and Manuel de Falla. During this memorable evening, Fatma Said bridges different cultures, but also between various musical genres, traveling from classical music to popular and traditional music
