  • ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE

YNO has been creating operas in Japanese since 2012. This will be their seventh work. YNO has already premiered and staged two works, “The Three Musketeers” and “The Three Musketeers 2 – The Lily’s Brand”, and this work is the last of the “Three Musketeers Trilogy”. The theme of this work is depicting D’Artagnan, who never gives up until the end and never loses hope no matter what the situation. The performance will be performed with a strong lineup of talented singers from the middle and young generations who are active at the forefront, and staff who are active both in Japan and abroad. We hope that as many people as possible, from opera fans to opera novices, will enjoy this performance, as we work towards the creation of a new repertoire of “Japanese opera that is both familiar and enjoyable to listen to”.

    Synopsis
The setting is France. More than 30 years have passed since he came to Paris, and D’Artagnan, who has become the captain of the musketeers, prevents a plot to replace King Louis XIV with the twins Philippe. The masterminds are his former musketeer comrades Aramis and Porthos. However, the plot fails. The two flee. D’Artagnan receives orders from the King to arrest the two men, and pursues them, torn between friendship and loyalty.

Friendship or loyalty? D’Artagnan continues to think of ways to balance both until the very end.
