I DIVISION
Tatiana Chudova, “Russian Women”​
​For two soloists and piano
The opera by Tatiana Chudova, through the poems of N. Nekrasov, A. Pushkin and the Decembrist poets, tells the story of how princesses Trubetskaya and Volkonskaya went to pick up their husbands in exile in Siberia.
Guest soloists of Carnegie Hall, Musikverein and the Bolshoi Theater, singers Yulia Petrachuk and Olga Nadezhdina, together with pianist Karina Pogosbekova, are preparing to present the world premiere of this work.

II DEPARTMENT
Amy Mercy Beach “Cabildo”
For 6 soloists, choir and trio
An opera with a historical plot about the colonial prison in New Orleans and the escape of the pirate Pierre Lafitte. Its author, Amy Mercy Beach, is one of the leading figures of the Boston school of composition of the early 20th century, a pianist who has earned fame as the unofficial “leader of American women composers.”
The opera “Cabildo” will be presented in Russia for the first time, performed by leading soloists of the Bolshoi Theater, the Musical Theater named after. Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko, Mariinsky Theatre, Metropolitan Opera and La Scala: Stanislav Lee, Polina Sharovarova, Olga Seliverstova, David Sanikidze, Denis Sedov, Ilya Hardikov, vocal ensemble ARIELLE and soloists of the BACH quartet.

Both operas were staged by the young opera director Elizaveta Korneeva, known for her work with leading musical theaters in Russia and Europe, including the Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theater, the Mariinsky Theatre, the State Theater of Hannover and the Grand Theater of Geneva, and set designer Varvara Timofeeva, whose work has been presented at the Wuppertal Opera , Theater of Nations and Hamburg Opera.
