ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
Starting the 2023 Season of the Orquestra Sinfônica de Goiânia, the City Hall of Goiânia, through the Municipal Secretariat of Culture, presents to the public of the capital the famous work “Ninth Symphony”, by the German composer Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827). The concert will take place on February 12th, Sunday, at 11am, at Teatro Escola Basileu França. In addition to the orchestra, the Coro Sinfônico de Goiânia and Coro Juvenil de Goiânia, groups that are also units of the Municipal Secretariat of Culture, will participate in the concert. As soloists, we will have singers Patrícia Mello (soprano), Natália Afonso (mezzo-soprano), Alexandre Vaz (tenor) and Jadson Alvares (baritone). Conductor is Maestro Eliseu Ferreira, chief conductor and artistic director of the orchestra.
The Ninth Symphony, lasting 65 minutes, will be the only work on the program that promises to move everyone present. It is a work that has become a true cultural heritage of humanity, which speaks to all men in all languages, regardless of creed, religion and race.
The realization is an initiative of the Municipal Secretary of Culture and City Hall of Goiânia, in partnership with Teatro Basileu França and Secretary of State for Development and Innovation.
