PROGRAM LEAFLET

The Viceroyalty of Peru was the largest political unit of the Spanish American colonies. It comprised almost all of South America and included some of the most important musical centers of the continent: Cuzco, Lima, Sucre or Potosi. This concert is focused on the composers linked to this territory, paying special attention to the Spanish Tomás Torrejón y Velasco, who developed his compositional activity in the Cathedral of Lima.
