This is the Met opera that hooked me on operas. Catherine Malfitano, in my opinion, is the most believeable actress in her portrayal of any character she performs as. Madame Butterfly, Floria Tosca, or Salome should prove my point. Thank you for opening up many years of entertainment for me, Catherine Malfitano.
