ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
Louise, a young Parisian seamstress, loves Julien, the bohemian poet who lives in the house opposite. This is the argument of Gustave Charpentier’s opera, to which the program is devoted. Dialogues featuring Zola, Charpentier and Daudet alternate with extracts from the opera and dramatic scenes.
The lyrical version is performed by Caroline Dumas, Jean Brazzi, Georges Chamarat and Mireille Perrey.
The dramatic version, adaptation and original dialogues by René Wheeler, is played by Dominique Arden, Philippe Forquet, Georges Chamarat, Mireille Perrey, Gilbert Robin, Max Amyl and Louis Velle. Exceptionally, no choreographic version.
