ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
A little-represented Mexican opera in the country, The Legend of Rudel, by Ricardo Castro, will soon be presented in Monterrey, Nuevo León. A production of the Opera Mexico Studio (MOS), which includes 110 artists on stage, including musicians, singers, dancers and actors. Titanic work that has had an exhaustive investigation.
“The idea was to find the scores that weren’t available, they were lost at some point, but fortunately we have the piano version that brings many indications of the orchestration, references from Ricardo Castro himself from the orchestra and recordings, from that we were able to make the orchestration work in charge of Yonathan Salas”, explained to La Razón Alejandro Miyaki, musical director of the MOS.
The legend of Rudel, which premiered in 1906, is based on the story of a medieval troubadour poet, who earned his living entertaining people on the roads and falls in love with a woman of exceptional beauty and virtues who leads him to abandon his girlfriend and embark on a journey in search of that love.
