Vagner Bonella Cunha (Porto Alegre, November 26, 1973) is a Brazilian musician, with classical training. He dedicates himself to different styles of the contemporary music scene, especially classical and nu-Jazz. Among his works are compositions and arrangements performed by several Brazilian orchestras and music for cinema and audiovisual projects.
The musician’s creative process was the subject of the documentary Arte, Ordem e Caos (2008), by Pedro Zimmermann. Vagner also wrote the soundtrack and musical direction for the medium-length film. His first solo album, the ballet Mahavidyas, was released in 2010. He released his second album, entitled Além, in CD-Book format in 2012. This work had special appearances by Cuca Medina, Vitor Ramil, Dudu Sperb and Antonio Carlos Borges-Cunha.
