I was at this concert verson of Idomeneo on October 21 and it was the best performance of the title role for the last 40 years at least. Making his role debut Mr. Spyres was even more spectacular than Mr. Ford though I haven’t listen to Ford live, only recordings including studio version. Breathtaking! Hope it would be released on CD.
