The players of the Oisterwijkse Natuurtheater once gained a very active party: ‘Stichting Operette Oisterwijk’. Colloquially: ‘Operetta association Oisterwijk’ and for a long time ‘Operetta association “Nil Volentibus Arduum” which means “Nothing is impossible for those who want to”. In the early 1930s they were a department of the Oisterwijkse Katholieke Kunstkring.
Founded in 1931, the Operetta Group existed until 1999. The popular operetta repertoire for amateur associations is not very large. This explains why many titles can be found on the repertoire list several times.
No one can put a precise finger on the reason why the association so suddenly came to an end, while it almost always managed to attract a large audience and a large number of enthusiasts enjoyed this hobby on stage.
