    The “Puccini” Gala, organized 100 years after the death of Giacomo Puccini, was presented by Marius Constantinescu, and the producer of the “Puccini” Gala is Valentina Băințan.

    The Royal Chamber Orchestra, led by the Italian conductor Tito Ceccherini, offered the audience present at the Romanian Athenaeum both famous arias and duets from Puccini’s most beloved operas, performed by the famous soprano Cellia Costea and the remarkable tenor Florin Guzgă, but also works from the symphonic creation and vocal-symphonic concert by Puccini, with the participation of the “Preludiu-Voicu Enăchescu” Chamber Choir, the program being structured in such a way as to encompass all the complexity of the Italian composer, the organizers of the “Puccini” Gala, the Italian Institute of Culture and ARTEXIM, showed.

    Famous arias and duets from the beloved operas “Manon Lescaut”, “Tosca”, “Madama Butterfly” and “Turandot” resounded from the stage of the Romanian Athenaeum. The Royal Chamber performed, for the first time in Romania, the “Symphonic Prelude” , and the mastery of the “Preludiu-Voicu Enăchescu” Chamber Choir, conducted by Andrei Stănculescu, was highlighted in fragments from the vocal-symphonic work ” Messa di Gloria “.
