Russian composer, pianist and teacher Alexander Tchaikovsky will create an opera dedicated to the feat of the builders of the Sursky and Kazan defensive lines, the press service of the administration of the head of Chuvashia reports.
“The performance will tell about terrible and difficult things, but it must be beautiful both in terms of light and scenery. In the center of the performance there will be a lyrical love story, when people first lost each other, and then found each other after the war. One such real story was told to us yesterday. There can be no opera without a love conflict, ”said the author of the future musical work.
The composer plans to include in the performance the Chuvash folk songs that people sang during the construction of defensive lines. The opera will also use film techniques and a chronicle of the war years to convey the atmosphere of those years.
