ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
The weather in New York makes for a dream cast at the ZDF New Year’s Eve concert: Because snowstorms have been paralyzing air traffic on the American east coast for days, Renée Fleming was unable to arrive in time for the rehearsals for the ZDF New Year’s Eve concert in the Dresden Semperoper. Anna Netrebko and her partner, the bass-baritone Erwin Schrott, spontaneously agreed to support their colleague and took over part of the New Year’s repertoire. On Friday, December 31, 2010, ZDF viewers will have the rare pleasure of seeing the world’s two best sopranos in one show.(Visited 522 times, 1 visits today)
