“Departed Rus'” is a vocal cycle by Georgy Sviridov of 12 songs based on poems by Sergei Yesenin, which Dmitry Hvorostovsky loved very much and for which he was posthumously nominated for an international Grammy Award. At the Krasnoyarsk concert, the work is performed by one of the best baritones in Russia and Europe, winner of international competitions, laureate of the Irina Arkhipova Foundation Prize Vladimir Baikov.
In the second part of the concert, popular Russian folk songs (“Hey, let’s go”, “Oh, my dear”, “My joy lives”, “I’ll go out into the street”, “Along along Piterskaya”, “Kalinka” and others) performed by soloists Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. These are baritones Alexei Bocharov, Vladimir Efimov, Alexander Mikhalev, Andrei Silenko, Alexei Sokolov, Roman Hobta.
Accompanied by the magnificent male vocals of the Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic Russian Orchestra. A. Yu. Bardin conducted by maestro Valery Shelepov. He is also the musical director, the director of the event is Maria Tikhonova, the author of the idea and the artistic director of the project is the Honored Artist of Russia Sergey Bobrov.
