Chelsea Marilyn Zurflüh, Swiss soprano grew up in Pieterlen. From the 2021 to 2023 season she was a member of the International Opera Studio in Zurich and has already appeared on the stage of the opera house as Barbarina in “Le Nozze di Figaro”, as Zaida in “Il Turco in Italia”, as soprano one in “Jakob Lenz”, as Atalanta in “Serse” and more. Other engagements have taken the Swiss to the Vienna Konzerthaus and the Tonhalle Zurich.
Chelsea has won numerous singing competitions. These include first prize at the International Haydn Competition in Rohrau since May 2024, second prize at the International Mozart Competition in Salzburg since February 2023 and second prize and the audience award at the renowned Antonio Cesti Competition in Innsbruck, Austria since August 2022. In 2024 she won the Concours de Genève.
She is also the first place winner of the Marianne & Curt Diennemann Foundation Music Competition, the study prize winner of the Migros Culture Percentage Singing Competition, the Kiefer-Hablitzel/Göhner Music Competition and, since May 2021, the first place winner of the Elvirissima Singing Competition.
