This new production is Carmen like you’ve never experienced it: with original stage direction by Denyce Graves, one of the most beloved and celebrated Carmens of all time. This timeless and refreshing production of Bizet’s iconic masterpiece was co-created by The Glimmerglass Festival and Minnesota Opera, and is directed and choreographed by Eric Sean Fogel. This production features flamenco guitarist Berto Boyd, in a collaboration with Flamenco Pacifico.
Carmen is sung in French with live English captions. This production features the Portland Opera Chorus and Orchestra.
