I am hearing some good voices and good singing , if a little too loud , good singers do not need to sing full volume to be heard .
What I find disquieting is a production that caricatures the presentation of the original opera . This production is over the top , lacking refinement of society of the period . The settings are awful , some costumes too , the ramp onto the front of the stage is difficult to negotiate .
