ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
Alberto Alan Pingarrón Reynoso (Mexico City) is a blind Mexican tenor recognized for his performances in the most important theaters and festivals in Mexico. He has been named as having an extraordinary voice, which is reminiscent of the timbre of the legendary Italian tenor Luciano Pavarotti .
From an early age, he showed a great interest in music and began his studies under the direction of Professor Rodolfo González, forming part of the Belén choir at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, of which he later became assistant director. During his primary studies, he belonged to the choir where he received advice from Professor Pedro Heredia.
Pingarrón was blind since birth, so one of the challenges he faced in his career was transcribing music into Braille . Since the tools necessary to make transcriptions of this nature did not exist in Mexico, it was necessary to order it from abroad.
In 2001, he continued his preparation and vocal music under the tutelage of Leonardo Mortera. Two years later, he entered the National School of Music of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) to study a degree in singing with the teacher Rufino Montero. He was awarded the Gabino Barreda Medal upon completing his degree in singing.
He has performed as a soloist in numerous recitals and concerts. Some of his school recitals as a tenor soloist included Mozart ‘s Misa de Credo, Gounod ‘s Misa solemne de Santa Cecilia , the opera El matrimonio secreto by Cimarosa , the “ Angel Esquivel ” Festival, the Francisco Araiza Competition, obtaining second place, the First and Second University Meeting of Mexican Song with Prof. Verónica Murúa and the Concert in tribute to the tenor Francisco Araiza .
In 2010, Pingarrón would be one of the contestants of the reality show ” Opera Prima en Movimiento ” and in 2016 he would participate in Operalia , an international competition organized by the tenor Plácido Domingo .
In 2019, he participated in the inauguration of the Mexiquense Anáhuac Cultural Center together with the State of Mexico Symphony Orchestra , conducted by maestro Rodrigo Macías , and the Polyphonic Choir of the State of Mexico.
In 2021 and 2002, she appeared with the Royal Opera House in productions of the operas The Magic Flute , Samson and Delilah and Madame Butterfly .
Personal life
Since he was 4 years old, he approached music, initially with some instruments such as the flute, the organ, among others. During a chat, he shared that he liked boleros a lot and that José José was the singer he always listened to, although some time later he became more interested in opera and followed that path.
