ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
Guadalupe González was the daughter of the painters Manuel de la Cruz González and Tanya Kreysa . She began her musical studies in Costa Rica. She continued her training in Italy where she won the renowned Luciano Pavarotti award, debuting around her in the opera ‘Aida’. She was part of the cast of the Washington Opera, performing with different orchestras in the city and offering recitals in other places in the United States. She toured internationally with the Costa Rican National Symphony Orchestra.
In her teaching role, she was a professor at the School of Musical Arts of the University of Costa Rica (UCR) where she directed the Student Choir. She created and directed choral formations and trained a large number of singers.
