Opera “Abu Hassan” – Tales from the Arabian Nights –

“Abu Hassan” is a hilarious Singspiel (opera with dialogue) based on “Tales of the One Thousand and One Nights.”
　The poor Abu Hassan and his wife come up with a plan to pretend that each other is dead, and successfully obtain the “funeral money” from the Sultan. Three beautiful singers also appear at the “Royal Concert” to console the grieving Sultan’s wife. This is a so-called “Turkish opera” by the young Weber.
　Enjoy the world of the Arabian Nights set to music.
