Stefano de Peppo was born in Italy and began his career as a kid, member of the Children Chorus of La Scala in Milan.

After having graduated at Civica Scuola di Musica of Milano he moved to London thanks to a scholarship, and studied at Royal College of Music.

He moved to Mexico City and made his debut as a young bass-baritone at Bellas Artes Opera House.

Leporello (don Giovanni), Figaro (Le Nozze di Figaro), don Magnifico (La Cenerentola), Bartolo (Il Barbiere di Siviglia), Publio (La Clemenza di Tito) are some of the roles that made him very successful for his vocal and stage skills and opened the doors for a more international career.

He sang the above mentioned roles plus Mustafa (L’Italiana in Algeri), Dulcamara (L’Elisir d’amore), don Pasquale, Geronte (Manon Lescaut), Sulpice (La Fille du regiment) Sacristan (Tosca) at Minnesota Opera, Palm Beach Opera, Hamilton Opera in Canada, Lyric Opera of Kansas CityMiami Lyric Opera, Sarasota Opera, Connecticut Grand Opera, New Jersey Opera, Houston Opera Heights, (USA), Teatro Villamarta, Opera de Valencia, Teatro Cervantes, Gran Teatro de Cordoba, Gran Teatro de Zaragoza (SPAIN), Teatro Colon de Bogota (COLOMBIA), Essen Opern Hause (GERMANY).

In 2002 he sang Leporello in Rome with Renato Bruson as don Giovanni in a production televised by RAI and made into a commercial DVD.

After auditioning for Placido Domingo he was chosen to sing Betto (Gianni Schicchi) at Los Angeles Opera and Washington Opera with Samuel Ramey as Schicchi in a new production of movie director William Friedkin.

Don Pasquale at Memphis Opera, don Giovanni at Teatro Lirico d’Europa and Teatro San Babila in Milano, Bartolo (Barbiere) at New Jersey State Opera and at Bellas Artes in Mexico City, Barone Kelbar in Verdi’s Un giorno di regno at Sarasota Opera among his future roles.
