World Premiere
The audience is in the dystopian circus “Forum Populus”, a dynamic cross between a manege and an open forum, where people speak, sing and act. What has been said is carried out, but above all broken. This is where the I’s appear, form into we, who break back into the I – inside hoping and silent, outside screaming and demanding change, in order to usher in a change not only in everyday life.
The political content grows out of a compositional restructuring of the world and its discourses, which tries to locate and express coexistence in a new way. The music moves between tonal alienation through duplication, acousmatic processes and the superimposition of several seemingly independent and yet interrelated layers of sound and tempo. The work hopes to dissolve predetermined, deadlocked modes of communication and action and to generate new perspectives.
