Eight privileged voices sing the most demanding of the operatic repertoire in the MASIN patio

Culiacán, Sin.- With the piano accompaniment of teacher Zlatina Valkova and teacher Salomón Gil, the eight members of the Sinaloa Opera Workshop were applauded in the courtyard of the Sinaloa Museum of Art, where they offered the Arias de Concurso program, with the most demanding pieces of the operatic repertoire, under the direction of Mtro. José Manuel Chu Reyes.

The bass Cyan Rangel opened the program with an aria from the opera Faust, by Charles Gounod: Vous qui faites l’endormie (You are the one who made the dream…); and soprano Samantha Sánchez continued, with a remarkable interpretation of Eccomi in lieta vesta… Oh! Quante volte (from The Capulets and the Montagues, by Vincenzo Bellini).

In turn, the tenor Luis Cornejo was applauded with his version of De miei bollenti spiriti… oh mine rimorso infamia (from La Traviata, by Verdi), and Claudia Puebla garnered applause with Sorgi o Padre (from Bianca e Fernando, by Bellini). , while Pablo Falcón sang Il mio Tesoro Intanto (from Don Giovanni, by Amadeus Mozart), and soprano Evelyn Tovón gave a good interpretation of the aria Me voilà seule… Comme autrefois (from the opera The Pearl Fishermen, by Georges Bizet).

Alejandro Pacheco, tenor, aroused enthusiasm when he performed the well-known La donna e mobile (from the opera Rigoletto, by Giuseppe Verdi), while soprano Jessica Torrero provoked applause by masterfully singing Regnava nel silenzio… Quando rapito in estasi (from the opera Lucia de Lammermoor, by Gaetano Donizetti).

In a second round, the bass Cyan Rangel returned to sing Madamina il catalogo è questo (from Don Giovanni, by Mozart), and Samantha Sánchez with Adieu, notre petite table (from Manon Lescaut, by Jules Massenet), and the tenor Luis Cornejo with Addio fiorito asil (from Madama Butterfly, by Giácomo Puccini), while Claudia Puebla masterfully performed Je dis que rien ne m’epouvante (or Micaela’s aria, in the opera Carmen, by Bizet), and Pablo Falcón sang Flor red (from Los Gavilanes, by J. Guerrero.

Evelyn Tovón was applauded when she sang Chi il bel sogno di Doretta (from La rondine –The Swallow-, by Puccini), while Alejandro Pacheco performed with panache Che gelida manina (from La bohemia, by Giacomo Puccini), and to close strong, Jessica Torrero returned to the stage with the fun piece Les oiseaux dans la charmille (from The Tales of Hoffmann, by Jacques Offenbach), which once again provoked applause.

It was a pleasant evening, now in a new headquarters due to the maintenance work that the Socorro Astol Theater is undergoing, which has been the headquarters of the Opera Workshop since its inception.
