ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
Atchi is a one-act operetta with three characters by Frédéric Barbier, a contemporary of Offenbach who will transport you to an Orient adapted to the sauce of the café concerts of the Second Empire period.
In a harem, Nini, the favorite of Sultan Beta-Pasha, takes his hair off his head: he catches a cold, sees himself already dead because in his country, this disease does not exist. The young woman and her lover Adrien, who has just been sentenced to death for entering the seraglio without permission, will know how to take advantage of the ignorance of this very endearing Beta-Pasha.
Frédéric Barbier signs a very amusing piece and a very “Barisian” music.
