The project is commissioned by ERT Music Ensembles on the occasion of the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution, is under the auspices of SA. of the President of the Hellenic Republic and was filmed in the Roman Agora to be broadcast in a world premiere by ERT2 on Wednesday, December 29 at 18.00.
The first part is entitled “Freedom leads the people” and describes the spirit of struggle for the conquest of freedom.
The second part “We became birds and now we can no longer fit in the shell” emphasizes the value of collective memory through the history of Hellenism to ensure freedom, but also how it and its ideals lead and inspire us today.
Finally, in the third part “And as they pass and as they thunder, the Evzones the Tsarouchi” unfold the messages for the future of humanity through the guarantee of both the ideal of freedom and values inherent in it, such as peace, justice, democracy, humanity and solidarity.
The work “Freedom” unites the great texts, music, symphonic sound, tradition, sound colors, memory, national symbols, modern creation and the Greek spirit in one unit and expects to become a universal and timeless work.
