Zsuzsa Lehoczky, Hungarian actor, meritorious and Outstanding Artist, member of the Immortals ‘ company, who was chosen as one of the nation’s actors for the first time in the musical theatre genre, was celebrated by the Budapest Operetta Theatre Company and its Career Partners 85. birthday. In the framework of the large-scale gala show, the audience could hear song excerpts from the artist’s professional career and most iconic roles from the company and the celebrated one, which, together with archival recordings, brought to life Zsuzsa Lehoczky’s professional life. Kiss B. Attila, director general of the Budapest Operetta Theatre, praised the artist: “Zsuzsa Lehoczky has a life and career path that is unique in the Hungarian art world of the twentieth century. She first performed as a dancer at a very young age, then became known as a subrette, and later excelled in completely different roles and genres. As a prima donna, in dramatic roles, and in TV plays, she captivated viewers alike. She has been entertaining at a high level for many decades, winning the love, respect and appreciation of the public and the profession alike. She performed with legendary representatives of her chosen profession, with whom there are very few other than herself.”According to the previously announced decision of the artist, she took the stage for the last time…
On September 27, 2021 , she performed for the last time at the Budapest Operetta Theatre as part of a gala performance celebrating her 85th birthday.
