ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
In the concert, the participants of which were teachers Olga Palii and Oleksandr Yashchenko, as well as students of the Mykolaiv Professional College of Music, the best vocal works of Ukrainian composers were performed, as well as poetic lines of famous Mykolaiv authors, in particular Dmytro Kremen. For the listeners, the following were performed: “The Fires Are Burning”, “You Don’t Forget”, the folk song “Oy kryache, kryache”, the romance “Crane Night”, “Two streams from Montenegro”, Bohun’s aria from the opera “Bohdan Khmelnytskyi”, “Crane” , one of the most popular songs of Ihor Shamo “My Kiev”, “I don’t want to sleep”.
A pleasant surprise was the vocal performance of the Mykolaiv composer and teacher Elina Obraztsova, as well as “Odarka’s Song” from Gulak-Artemovsky’s opera “Zaporozhets za Danube”, which was performed as a duet (it was noted that it was impromptu). Students – Tetyana Yaslyar, Anastasia Holod, Hanna Chalenko and David Krasylyuk – demonstrated their vocal skills at a high level. Nataliya Maltseva, Iryna Belyaeva and Anzhelika Kravetska acted as concertmasters.
