  Triune Mass is a large-scale composition that fuses the symphonic orchestra with the Philippine rondalla. Biblical texts were carefully selected and woven together to form a coherent narrative centered on the Holy Trinity. This monumental work recounts the presence of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, while also serving as a collective prayer for guidance in these dark and uncertain times.

  The wars and genocides that have become part of our daily reality reveal the profound moral corruption of the human race and the alarming ease with which violence has been normalized. Innocent lives are reduced to statistics, and suffering is consumed as distant spectacle. In the face of evil, I offer Triune Mass as an act of resistance and remembrance; a refusal to accept cruelty as inevitable. Through this music of prayer, I take a stand for what is right, calling for conscience, moral courage, and compassion over destruction.

  The Oratorio is structured in three parts, namely:
  1) God the Father;
  2) God the Son;
  3) God the Holy Spirit;

  and each features recitatives, arias, and chorus that reflect on the mysteries of the Holy Trinity. The first part focuses on the Creation, Adoration, then Invocation of God the Father, and explores the grandiosity of the universe through the mass sounds of the orchestra. The second part, with movements Incarnation, Condemnation, and Redemption, realizes the humanness of God the Son; the vulnerability of Jesus Christ as a reflection of the sufferings of humanity, and this is explored using raw and evocative lines and colors from the ensemble. The third and final part is centered on God the Holy Spirit, with movements Effusion, Consecration, and Communion offering congregational reflection, repentance, and renewal.

  In this production, you will be hearing a congregation that has come together to offer an evening of prayer; a euphonious and bold protest against all the injustices of the world. And as we commence, we bid all to have a hand in the outcry of the persistent voices and loud clamours that wish for a change. A better change.
