Thomas Hampson is an excellent Scarpia, less hanky-panky and more good acting. Some changes in the story make it more interesting. But there’s nothing is this Tosca like the wonderful spinto voice of Jonas Kaufmann, “E lucevan l’stelle” brought tears to my eyes. Long live Jonas! Always singing…
