ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE

The opera takes place in Nizhny Novgorod in the last quarter of the 15th century. The musical tragedy is based on the famous Nizhny Novgorod legend about the Enchantress Godmother. The main characters of the play are Prince Kurlyatov, the noble Princess, his wife and their son Yuri. On the other hand, there is a young widow, the beautiful Nastasya, whom people called the “enchantress”. Love, hatred and… one step between them are the basis of the passions developing in the drama.
