The event was organized by the British Parliament and promoted in collaboration with the Pro Musica e Arte Sacra Foundation, with the patronage of Cardinal James Harvey and Abbot Dom Donato Ogliari. The concert celebrates the life and work of John Henry Newman, a prominent theologian, poet, and Catholic convert of the 19th century. This performance of “The Dream of Gerontius” is a rare treat for Rome and Italy, with only a few performances of this piece in the past. Don’t miss this chance to experience the power and beauty of Elgar’s music and Newman’s poetry.
