The new music-theatre work The Air of Greece by multi-award-winning Greek-American composer George Tsontakis, who has been recently described by Gramophone magazine as “a giant of the American contemporary music scene”, is coming to your screens via GNO TV from 24 June to 31 July 2022. The production, a complex poetic portrait of the 19th-century poetry star and hero of the Greek War of Independence, Lord Byron, created as part of the tribute to the bicentennial of the Greek Revolution, will be available for free at nationalopera.gr/GNOTV/en with Greek and English subtitles.
