In Manaus, an opera festival is held in a magnificent Neo-Renaissance building in the center of the Amazon metropolis. Great stars performed in the monumental theater – Caruso, Carreras, Pavarotti. The theater collapsed with the collapse of the local rubber industry. Since its reopening in 1990, life has come back to this extraordinary place, and it has been visited by directors and artists from all over the world.
