Eszter Sümegi ( Mohács , April 10 , 1965 ) Kossuth Prize-winning Hungarian opera singer ( soprano ), worthy and excellent artist .
In 1993 , she obtained his diploma as an opera singer at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music , where she was a student of Márta Ónody . That year, she won first prize at the Pavarotti Vocal Competition in Philadelphia . After obtaining his diploma, she continued his studies at the master courses of Vera Rózsa and Sylvia Geszty . She has been a private singer of the Hungarian State Opera since 1993 , making her debut as Mimi in Puccini’s Bohemian . She performed at the Bregenz Festival, the Toronto Opera, Salzburg, the Vienna Staatsoper, the Frankfurt Opera, and Taiwan. She took part in the famous Paris Chatelet, directed by Bob Wilson and conducted by Christoph Eschenbach In the production of Die Walküre . Her first solo album was released in 2003 under the title Love , Blood & Fire , on which she sings arias by Verdi, Puccini, Catalani and Wagner. In the opera house, the Hungarian audience could hear her countless times in different roles; In the role of Tosca, Mimi or even Aida.
