The CHAARTS Chamber Artists , under the direction of concertmaster David Castro-Balbi, will perform with mezzo-soprano Elīna Garanča in a program that unfolds romantic sound worlds between Wagner, Mahler and Bizet. The focus is on works from Bizet’s Carmen: orchestral suite sections such as Nocturne, Aragonaise and Intermezzo alternate with central arias from the title role, including “L’amour est un enfant Bohème” , “Près des remparts de Séville” and the well-known “Habanera” .
