Rome 1700, offers the public an immersion in the sacred repertoire performed in that city during the 17th century. XVIII. The renowned sopranist Bruno de Sá, accompanied by seven virtuoso Brazilian musicians, will present cantatas and arias with female characters in this recital. Roles that, due to the 1588 decree of Pope Sixtus V, which banned women from scenic representations in the papal states, began to be sung by Castrati. The show is composed of a repertoire that connects us with the sacred universe of this time in a unique journey through time through music
