ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
Puccini is without doubt the world’s most popular opera composer. The music from Tosca, La Bohème, Madama Butterfly and Turandot (“Nessun Dorma”) is known by millions around the world who have never set foot inside an opera house. Commissioned by WFO to commemorate the centenary of the composer’s death in 1924, writer and producer William Niall Morris has created a biographical work which showcases Puccini’s glorious music alongside his extraordinary and often complicated personal life. Set in the Villa Puccini in Tuscany, Morris takes the central role of the composer as he tells his own life story, intertwined with theatrical recollections of scenes from his most loved operas.
