ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
Drama per musica by Neva Krasteva based on a libretto by Alex Alexandrov
Inspired by the life of Saint Mary of Egypt
The legend comes to life in a story about sin, repentance and spiritual purification – with soloists, choir, orchestra and impressive multimedia.
Inspired by the legend and spiritual life of Saint Mary of Egypt, the work tells the story of the path from sin to repentance and spiritual purification. The libretto, built on biblical and poetic motifs, intertwines strong images, dramatic dynamics and a deep spiritual charge.
Neva Krasteva’s music unites elements of opera, oratorio and theatre in a single stage form – Drama per musica, and the production combines impressive scenography, choreography and multimedia. A rich world of sounds, images and movements comes to life on stage, led by strong vocal and instrumental performances.
