  Another birth is another death. Letting go of something and embracing something else. [1]

  • • Background : The story is set in a **’postpartum care center’**, a unique cultural space found only in Korea.
    • Theme : It delicately portrays the moments of confusion, friendship, loss, and recovery experienced as ‘human beings’ by mothers with diverse backgrounds gathered in the same space before becoming ‘parents’ .
    • Musical Approach : Not confined to the traditional opera format, it fuses diverse modern genres—ranging from the tension of atonal music, the flexibility of pop and R&B, the outburst of rock, to the delicacy of art songs—to express the complex inner self of a woman in a three-dimensional way. [1]
  This work has been praised for presenting a new form of opera that anyone can easily relate to, by exploring the universal experiences of childbirth and parenting with a contemporary sensibility and popular artistic language.
