Pinocchio is an opera in two acts by theItalian-Russian composer Natalia Valli , who also wrote the libretto , based on the novel of the same name by Carlo Collodi .
The work was composed in 2006 on commission from the Umberto Giordano Theatre of Foggia , with the patronage of the Carlo Collodi National Foundation.
The first performance took place in the same year at the Teatro Civico in La Spezia . The opera subsequently had numerous performances, including at the Teatro Victor Villegas in Murcia , Spain (in the Spanish-language version), at the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago , at the Teatro Verdi in Pisa and at the Teatro Goldoni in Livorno .
The duration of the work is one hour and ten minutes.
Plot
The story is set in Tuscany and follows the famous story told by Carlo Collodi .In the story, the children’s choir interacts with the main characters
