ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
On August 31, 2024, the II Petrovsky Opera Ball was held at the Great Catherine Palace in Tsarskoye Selo.
The event combined such attributes of Peter the Great and the Golden Age of the Russian Empire as luxurious interiors, authentic guest outfits, an impressive musical program, historical dances and rules of etiquette, dishes prepared according to the recipes of Catherine I and cook Peter I, and much more. Special attention of the guests of the ball was paid to the traditions of charity and patronage.
In 2024, the Petrovsky Opera Ball at the Bolshoi Catherine Palace opened the largest charity project – collecting donations for:
-cultural development,
-personal scholarships named after P.I. Tchaikovsky to the best students of cultural and creative specialties in the regions of Russia,
-the implementation of other projects of the Bridge of Arts Foundation.
This landmark event makes an indelible impression, and the participation of philanthropists in this project contributes to building bridges between cultures in a multipolar world, and supports ordinary people in these difficult times.
The celebration, built in accordance with the schedule of the legendary imperial balls, was attended by cellist Sergei Roldugin, violinist Pavel Milyukov, saxophonist Igor Butman, conductor Fabio Mastrangelo, tenor Dmitry Korchak, soprano Olga Maslova, Boris Eifman Ballet and many other artists.
