Paweł Szymański (born March 28 , 1954 in Warsaw ) – Polish contemporary composer. One of the greatest living Polish creators of contemporary music . A representative of the post-Modenist trend called surconventionalism . He was awarded the Silver Medal for Merit to Culture Gloria Artis (2005) , and since 2011 he has been an honorary member of the Polish Composers’ Union . From 2021, an active member of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences .
