ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS PERFORMANCE
This is one of the joking song plays dedicated to crafts that originated in our country
at the end of the 18th century. It has a simple plot – the “brewer” and his right hand “sub-elder” strive in vain
about restoring order in the brewery, they receive a message about the unexpected arrival of a “mobile”
for inspection. The situation is saved by Mrs. “brewer”, who conveniently confiscates the “mobile”, so the batch
is successfully completed. Mrs. “brewer” or “pojezdnej” do not perform on stage.
It is possible that the singing play was created at the time when the brewer František Ondřej Poupě (1753-1805)
strove to increase the professional level of the Czech brewing industry.
