Mexican soprano María Katzarava rose to international fame by winning the Operalia 2008 competition in the opera and zarzuela categories. Among the awards he has received are the Young Revelation Singer award at the Oscar della Lirica at the Verona Arena in 2010, the Crónica Award for Culture for his artistic career, a prize from the Alfonso Ortiz Tirado Festival 2019 and José Pablo Moncayo Delivered by Plácido Domingo and the Jalisco Philharmonic Board of Trustees. It has performed at the Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden, the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Lausanne Opera, the Verona Philharmonic Theater, the Oviedo Opera, the Gran Teatre del Liceu and in Saint-Étienne, among others. other scenarios. In Japan, she sang in a production at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan as Gilda in Verdi’s Rigoletto. Andrea Bocelli invited her to her tour of the Philippines, South Korea and Japan. Her repertoire includes 10 Verdi titles, among which the role of Elisabetta in Don Carlo stands out, which she sang at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia together with Plácido Domingo. She made the world premiere of Juana sin Cielo at the Granada Opera, written expressly for her by the Spanish Alberto García Demestres.
